Oh SO Hearty!
At Step into Detail, we find pink along with butterflies, tutus, and unicorns somewhat mainstream! who ever said feminine and girly is code for pink and sparkly?
This room was originally a non-organized guest bedroom, and it was time for our little SO-SO cute client to move to her own room so we were requested to transform this space for her. We decided on a neutral palette with a pop of terracotta and burgundy injected by the use for this truly wonderful wallpaper from Caramel & Sun (Brand: Lilipinso), and this strawberry Rug from Smallable store (Brand: Ferm Living Kids). When we designed the furniture layout we made sure to think long term which means our client doesn’t have to change the design of the room when her baby is a toddler and moves to a single bed. She can simply remove the crib and add a side table or another single bed, depending on the occupancy – This is how we save money and time 🙂
If you want to know more details about this room, here you go!
The closet doors were a horrible yellowish white that we couldn’t but find a solution for, a fast one. So, we decided to wrap it! Creative wrapping did an amazing job by covering it all with a matt white finish and we added minimal black handles that we got from IKEA.
The bed and the crib are both from IKEA as well, the pendant lighting is from Zara Home with extendable wire was done on purpose. The bedding is always a major element for us, we usually go for a plain design and a light color and pair it with decorative throw and out of the box cushions. The accessories were selected from different shops in town, some of them ship amazing brands from Europe!
Marmaland, Smallable store, Caramel & Sun, Crate & Barrel, West Elm, Tribe, The bowery Company, H&M Home and the list goes on. As for paint, we used a mix of three colors from Jotun: Moss Green 7354 for the bed corner, Vanilla Latte 1519 for the bed wall and the ceiling, and Jazz White 7236 for the rest.
We are overjoyed with the outcome and so was our little client. If you like any of the products we used, you can shop yours but clicking the pictures below.
